Preparing your child for an independent life
A kit is shipped to you with “Independence Themed” Visual Place Mat Engagement System to use for many years to come. Coordinating video training direct to the child is included.
Your child will be taught to participate, at their level, in:
chores (start at age 2)
grocery shopping
learning appropriate behaviors
communication of needs and wants
recognizing facial expressions
and much more!
The system: think of a group of laminated kitchen place mats at the dinner table. These visual reminders immerse the child and the parent(s) into evidence-based strategies, based on Applied Behavior Analysis principles, along with video instructions, that will last a lifetime for all family members.
The system will serve as a visual reminder of all of the techniques that can and should be used in the home, community and school on a daily basis that reduce stress for the family.

Children with autism need to learn their own limits and their own triggers to prevent meltdowns.
Break cards are visual tools that serve as a constant reminder that the child needs to ask for a break when he or she is in the early stages of being overwhelmed.
This is a life-long independence skill that the child will use when they are a working adult.
Short-term memory happens. Repetition will help your employees to recall their Autism training. Increases on the productivity of learning can be enormous.

Repetition, repetition, repetition
Our digital "on-the-go" social stories videos in KidZone are available on mobile devices and are perfect for the car or at home.
Social Stories teach the child of the many social interactions they will have as a child through adult life, and what the appropriate way to handle them are.
(A.K.A. video modeling) of how parents and therapists work the evidence-based strategies, based on Applied Behavior Analysis principles, into their every day life.
Parents: From today forward, this is your mantra:
Autism did not stop Einstein, Mozart, or Newton from reaching the stars, and it won't stop my child either.
Also known as "reinforcers", rewards should be motivating to the child, and given when activities are completed.
Positive reinforcement is a pillar in evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
The child will get bored with one type of reward, so you are provided with choices!

Follow-along Social Stories with Visual Prompts
Autism Army letters prepared for you, ready to send to grandparents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, friends, teachers, principals, and superintendents that explain what training your family will be doing and how they can join your personal "Autism Army" if they're interested in getting on the same page with your family.
The letters invite your personal "Autism Army" to learn the "shift" that is taking place in the world. We review the companies that have done studies that prove that certain jobs are better suited for people living with autism, and are employing them. For example, Microsoft found that when they employ a person with autism in a certain Quality Assurance position, that person is able to catch errors in the software code 40% quicker than a person without autism. That's a savings to Microsoft's bottom line. Employers such as Walgreens, IBM, Ford, and Ernst & Young have also found huge benefits from hiring people living with Autism, mainly due to that person's ability to "think outside of the box".

Social Stories that teach the child of the many social interactions they will have as a child through adult life, and what the appropriate way to handle them are.
We leverage a strength that a child with autism typically is known for, which is "rote memory", to learn social skills and rules of the community to keep the child safe.
Rote learning is a memorization technique based on repetition. The idea is that one will be able to quickly recall the meaning of the material the more one repeats it.
We include a high school trainer, as younger children generally look up to them to learn.
All training is using evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
